Just a quick note to remind you that we're playing a free in-store show at Cactus Music this Saturday at 3pm. The wonderful local brewery St. Arnold's will be providing complimentary refreshments! Show up early at 1pm to see another great local act Bang Bangz.
We've just finished putting the final touches on a pretty amazing visual experience to accompany every song in our set for our upcoming album release party at Fitzgerald's on Saturday, March 2nd. So not only will we be playing every track from our new CD (plus a few old favorites), but every song will feature a programmed light & video show in sync with the music.
In addition, the whole concert will be filmed by ZenFilm for a series of live music videos!
Finally, we will have three great bands playing before us: Jealous Creatures, Second Lovers, and The Wandering Bufaleros!
So mark your calendars and tell all your friends to come out for the show. It's gonna be awesome.

Looking back on our experience at our first FPSF, it was nothing short of jaw-droppingly insano-awesome. We had the honor of playing Stage 2, one of the bigger stages on the same day as Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, Best Coast, Phantogram, Two Door Cinema Club, Erykah Badu, and THE FLAMING LIPS. We had the opportunity to talk to many of them. Not only that, but our favorite Houston restaurant, the all-vegan Radical Eats, was catering the event backstage. We definitely took advantage of the opportunity to see all those bands from a few feet away at the side of the stage. Truly inspiring. We can't wait until next year. We've updated our photos page with quite a few shots from FPSF, so check it out.
We're very happy to announce the date for our VINYL RELEASE SHOW upstairs at Fitzgerald's on Friday, June 29th! Our good friends Alkari, Boy+Kite (from Austin), and Sunward (from Dallas) will be playing as well. The 7-inch vinyl single is our first record ever, and features two tracks from our debut album UNITE that have been radically re-imagined and rerecorded with the help of Sugar Hill producer Dan Workman. We think it turned out great, and believe you will enjoy it too.

We're thrilled to announce that we're playing ZenHill Records Night tomorrow at Fitzgerald's. We take the stage at 8pm, so get there early. Following us will be fellow great ZenHill artists Winter Wallace, Craig Kinsey, Sideshow Tramps, Roky Moon & BOLT!, Southern Backtones. Dan Workman, Sugar Hill Studios producer extraordinaire, will be running sound for us, so that means that we'll sound about as good live as we can. See you there.
Hey everyone! Thanks for coming out to our show at Mango's last Friday. We have a few things going on THIS weekend that you may want to check out as well. Friday afternoon at 2pm, we'll be on the show "Radioactive" on 90.1 FM KPFT Houston playing a few live acoustic tracks and whatnot. Later that evening at 10pm, we'll be on the University of Houston's internet radio station, Coog Radio, doing more of the same. THENNNNN, on Saturday at 3pm we have our first ever THIS: The Wheel Workers - Live at Cactus Music! As always, the awesome Houston-based St. Arnold's Brewery will be providing complementary refreshments.
In other news, we are happy to announce that our national release to press and radio is going very well. We've received many kind reviews and are being played on well over a dozen stations across the US after only a couple weeks. We hope to be played on as many as 100 broadcast stations or more. So feel free to call into your local station and request some Wheel Workers!

We've got a few shows coming up this month. First up, we're playing Mango's on Saturday, November 4th with our friends Featherface and Second Lovers.
The next day, Saturday, Nov. 5, we will be playing at the AIGA Houston's 2nd Annual Art Festival next to the Heights Theater. There will be lots of awesome local arts and crafts to check out as well. The whole thing gets started at 10am.
Finally, we'll be playing with our good friends Boy + Kite at The Mink on Nov. 26!

We're playing this upcoming Thursday, 9/8 at the Mink with Featherface and Austin's Star & Micey. Doors open at 9pm and we take the stage around 10pm.
On Wednesday, 9/14 we're opening for national touring act Miniature Tigers at Fitzgerald's. Should be a great show.
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last posted, but that doesn't mean we don't have a lot going on.
I'm writing this post from the office of producer/engineer Dan Workman, who is currently working his magic on a new track titled "Older Now." We've mixed "Chemicals" and we're soon going to be moving on to a brand new song you probably haven't heard called "Power." Other new songs are in the writing stage but we hope to have the completed second album out sometime in early 2012.
Sometime in the next month or so we'll be doing a national release of our first album, UNITE, and our good friend Renee Khan has signed on to help with promotions. Following that release we will be playing more live both in Houston and beyond.
We've also got our first music video going, having filmed at Fitzgerald's and other locations with director Matthew McBride at the helm. Should see a rough cut of that soon and we'll time the release of the video to coincide with the national release of UNITE.
Finally, we've been hard at work booking new shows so check out the calendar section of this website for the latest updates. We hope to get our friends Boy+Kite down here for a Houston show soon from Austin, because we know you will love them as much as we do.

Hey everyone! I know this is pretty last minute notice but we just got called up to fill in a slot at Fitzgerald's upstairs on Wednesday, June 29th. It gets started around 8pm. We'd love to make a good impression so they invite us back soon, so grab a few of your closest friends and head down to the heights to help us rock out at Fitz.

We just finished our first recording session for the next album and it was a great experience. Tracking at the legendary Sugar Hill studios with producer Dan Workman and engineer Chris Longwood made the whole endeavor nearly effortless and we got drums done for seven songs! Jason Carmona nailed every track. Can't wait to move on to the next stage of the process. Here's a little taste of what's to come courtesy of Chris's sweet time lapse ap on his cellphone:

In other news, our friends Boy+Kite have invited us to play with them at The Scoot Inn on my birthday, June 10th, in Austin. One of my good friends, former roommate and bandmate, Giuseppe Ponti, plays bass for them, and they are great.
We're also working on playing a couple of festivals in June (no, not Free Press Summer Fest...but we plan on doing that one next year), so stay tuned!
